My story
Everything started when I was around 4. My older sister would drive me around and play the album Vessel by Twenty One Pilots in the car and I loved it. I started drawing soon after that because I wanted to create something beautiful like Tyler Joseph did with his music.
A couple years later and I wasn’t listening to Twenty One Pilots as much but I was still drawing and painting whenever I could. I would fill my desk with drawings all day long and then not know what to do with them. When I was around 8 I stopped drawing as much because I was the “weird kid” at school who would draw rather then play at recess.
When the pandemic hit in 2020 I was 10 and it was hard for me at first but I soon picked art back up as a way to pass the time. I remember I started to look forward to painting and drawing every day after school work again. This was the first time a tried to make a fursuit head as well as sculpting. At the beginning of 2021 I started home-schooling instead of virtual school. In late 2021 I found Scaled And Icy by Twenty One Pilots and it re-lit a spark that public school life had almost dulled in me. I listened to this album at least one a day for the next month or so and then moved onto their older albums.
In early 2023 I joined a Co-op that my mom found for me and when I saw how different everyone is and how they all loved each other for it I knew that this was where I could share my art and they would help me grow. I started to make full pieces of art and share them with my friends. Sharing my art and getting positive feedback from people and also getting some input on how I could do better instead of getting laughed at and ridiculed was so refreshing.
At the very end of 2023 I started struggling with mental health and used art and creating to cope. I would listen to TOP and almost meditate to their music to escape how I felt. I felt like they were the only people who could put into words how I was feeling. They saved my life in more ways then I would like to admit but I’ll keep that part short. After opening up about how I felt in early 2024 and my friends knowing I liked to keep myself busy they offered their Xbox controllers for me to customize so I had something to do. That soon became one of my favorite things to customize. After seeing my work from over the years get better and better my mom suggested I should make a Website to share my work and I loved that idea.
So here I am now in 2024 starting my first website, a clikkie since 2014, a artist, and a creator.
For full transparency most, if not all of the money from this website will go to my MIT collage fund!
I want to give a small thank you to everyone who has helped me in this journey and to everyone who has supported me through everything.
